3D SCANNING
もののあわれ (Mono no aware) - the bittersweet recognition of the impermanence and transient nature of all things in life
Having experienced the ever-changing nature of the world through my travels and witnessing the transformation of familiar environments, I have developed a deep appreciation for preserving moments in time. Photogrammetry and the art of 3D scanning have become an ever present companion of my odyssey, for they offer a glimpse into a world beyond mere photography, as well as preserving the option of implementing the precious polygons in a variety of virtual tools.
This is what inspires me – the fleeting nature of life itself, the beauty of the present moment, and the significance of our experiences.
This page, just like a number of others, is still under construction, as it is - more than just making the page - a journey of collecting files and snippets of memories from all my devices, external drives, outdated programs and other long forgotten places, so please be patient with me :)

As I stood upon the shores of Lyme Regis Fossil Beach, beside the Ammonite Pavement, time seemed suspended in the ancient rock beneath my feet. Together with my artist companion, we contemplated a whimsical snorkeling adventure, but the crisp water and weather beckoned us towards a cozy tea house, where fragrant Earl Grey tea mingled with the indulgent sweetness of Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Though we unearthed a treasure trove of Ammonites, carefully tucked away within a padded microphone case, their timeless beauty remains nestled within the realm of memories.
Tiny Memories
Kiruna - 2022
Igor, our retired sled dog and tea hut guardian in his favourite spot - the couch. Bought the couch for ourselves, but it became his permanent residence :)
Compared to photogrammetry, where you have to take a lot of carefully angled images under the same conditions for it to work, lidar gives you the option to create memories much faster, albeit less precise. However, often the situation doesnt allow for a dedicated photogrammetry session, so all you have is a moment to pull out your phone and scan in as much as you can get in the time. Yet, this allows for the creation of lovely little bookmarks of life. Play with the images, zoom in and rotate them if you like! (on mobile it might only load a compressed version)
Barcelona - 2021
During one of our tours staying in a beautiful old Art Nouveau hotel in the heart of Barcelonas Gothic Quarter. I always tried to find unique and unusual places to stay.
The latest toy of joy being Polycam's Gaussian Splats (august 2023). I couldn't help but pull out some of my old footage and turn it into a mesmerising 3D moment in time - mind you, none of this footage was made purposefully to be turned into 3D.
Above you can see the Slovenian coastal town of Piran, and below an old car, and the location I was residing in winter 2024 in Northern Norway.
